La instalación hacia arriba, hacia abajo y el objeto mechudo doble, fueron creados de forma espontánea para la exposición en colaboración con el artista suizo residente en Berlín Anselmo Fox.
La instalación está hecha de residuos industriales, paquetes de hilos de estopa de la producción textil, tiene un peso de 16 kg. Éstos son levantados y prensados bajo el techo de la sala por construcciones de madera en forma de horquilla. Siguiendo su gravedad, su campo magnético y su interconexión mutua hacia abajo, los hilos dibujan a partir de ahí finos tejidos coloridos de equilibrio y cohesión, que confieren a la obra no sólo una cualidad escultórica, sino también pictórica. Sandra Contreras y Anselmo Fox hacen referencia a la larga tradición e historia técnica del hilo. En esta obra abandona su dinámica productiva funcional y no llevan otra intención que la de su propia esencia.

The installation hacia arriba, hacia abajo and the object mechudo doble, were created spontaneously for the exhibition in collaboration with the Berlin-based Swiss artist Anselmo Fox.
The installation is made of industrial waste, bundles of tow yarns from textile production, weighing 16 kg. These are lifted and pressed under the ceiling of the room by wooden fork-shaped constructions. Following their gravity, their magnetic field and their mutual interconnection downwards, the threads draw from there fine colorful weaves of balance and cohesion, which give the work not only a sculptural but also a pictorial quality. Sandra Contreras and Anselmo Fox refer to the long tradition and technical history of thread. In this work they abandon their functional productive dynamics and carry no other intention than that of their own essence.

In der Installation hacia arriba, hacia abajo und dem Objekt mechudo doble, welche für die Ausstellung und spontan in einer Kooperation mit dem in Berlin lebenden Schweizer Künstler Anselmo Fox entstanden sind, führt der Faden in das Universum alltäglicher Handlungen.
In Hacia arriba, hacia abajo wird der industrielle Abfall textiler Produktion, den Putzfäden, durch gabelartige Holzkonstruktionen in gesamthaft 14 Kilogramm schwere Bündel unter die Raumdecke gehoben und gepresst. Ihrer Schwerkraft und gegenseitigen Vernetzung nach unten folgend ziehen die Fäden von dort aus feinen Gespinsten des Gleichgewichtes und Zusammenhaltes, die hacia arriba, hacia abajo nebst der plastischen auch eine malerische Qualität verleiht.
Mit hacia arriba, hacia abajo, in der die Triebkräfte des Fadens ein nonintentionales Gebilde vernetzen, nehmen Sandra Contreras und Anselmo Fox auf eine lange und traditionsreiche Geschichte des produktiven Fadens Bezug.
