Spotten

Wo Feuer vorbeizieht, hinterlässt es Spuren.
Diese Zeichnungen zeigen Flecken kleiner Ereignisse, die im Zusammenhang von Erosion entstanden sind. Form und Charakter dieser „Spots“ wurden von der Natur bestimmt. Sie hängen von der Sauerstoffmenge und der Windrichtung ab. Manche Flecken werden zu Glut, andere hingegen verblassen und nur wenige breiten sich in die Fläche aus.

Nach dem Durchzug des Feuers bleiben Flecken, Brandstellen, Löcher, Punkte und Glut zurück. Diese sind durch die Farbe und die Beleuchtung ihres Hintergrunds gut erkennbar. Sowohl die Farbe als auch der Hintergrund verändern sich, wenn wir uns an ihnen vorbei bewegen. Die Löcher scheinen gefüllt zu sein, sie treten hervor, beginnen sich zu verschieben oder lösen sich auf.
Die durch Erosion verursachten Spots werden selbst zum Gegenstand des Spottes.

Los dibujos muestran reminiscencias de pequeños acontecimientos relacionados con la erosión. La naturaleza determina la forma y el aspecto de las manchas. Estas dependen de la cantidad de oxígeno y de la dirección del viento, que las hace crecer. Algunas se vuelven ascuas, otras se apagan y crecen, muy pocas continúan haciéndolo.
Tras el paso del fuego, quedan manchas, quemaduras, orificios, puntos y ascuas. 
Sólo se advierten por el color y la iluminación de su fondo que varía con nuestro propio movimiento. Así, los orificios) se rellenan, resaltan, se desplazan o se disuelven. Con esto, las manchas (Spots) de quemaduras parecen ser ya solo objeto de burla (Spottes).

Fire leaves traces in its wake.

These drawings show spots caused by small events related to erosion. The shape and character of these spots have been determined by nature. They depend on the amount of oxygen and the direction of the wind. Some spots turn into embers, others fade away, and only a few spread across the surface.

After the fire has passed, spots, burn marks, holes, dots, and embers remain. These are easily recognizable by their color and the lighting of the background. Both the color and the background change as we move. Then the holes appear to be filled, protrude, begin to move, or dissolve.

The spots caused by erosion become themselves objects of mockery (spotten).
