Informationen jeglicher Art reduzieren sich auf das Treiben von Energieladungen. In diesem Verfahren sind positive und negative Ladungen bzw. Anziehungskräfte wesentlich.  Dies inspirierte mich, die Strukturen der Magnetfelder zu beobachten. Diese Strukturen beeinflussen unser tägliches Leben ständig. Auch die universelle Sprache zwischen Lebewesen scheint auf Impulsen zu beruhen.

Diese Arbeiten sind gleichzeitig ein optisches Spiel zur Erregung der Netzhaut. Sie wurden für Schwarzlicht konzipiert, funktionieren aber auch mit Tageslicht.

Sandra Contrera’s artistic research touches on the one hand cosmological questions about the beginning, end and purpose of the universe and on the other hand the influence of frequency waves and magnetic fields on human existence. She is particularly fascinated by the beauty and order of the material structures and their changeability. The series “Magnetic Fields in black light” was created in the context of the discussion with the Austrian physicist and Nobel Prize winner and founder of quantum mechanics Erwin Schrödinger (1887-1961).

Las cargas positivas y negativas, así como las fuerzas de atracción, son esenciales en todos los procesos vitales.  Esto me inspiró para observar las estructuras de los campos magnéticos. Estas estructuras nos influyen constantemente en nuestra vida cotidiana. El lenguaje universal entre los seres vivos también parece basarse en impulsos. Estas obras son, al mismo tiempo, un juego óptico que excita la retina. Están concebidas para ser expuestas bajo luz negra, pero también funcionan con la luz del día.
